Business Analyst - 12 month daily rate contract

Job Description

Our client, a prominent financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support business change and transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to define business needs and facilitate the delivery of effective solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify problems and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Conduct user research and gather insights to support solution development.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather and define business requirements.
• Produce clear documentation including business requirements, user stories, wireframes, and process flows aligned with the selected project methodology.
• Support the development of business cases, scoping documents, and project plans.
• Work alongside IT and business teams, including developers, testers, and project managers, to ensure successful delivery of solutions.
• Assist in post-implementation activities and training support where required.

Experience Required

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior business analyst role within large-scale, cross-functional projects.
• Strong background in stakeholder management, documentation, and workshop facilitation.
• Skilled in producing requirement artefacts such as wireframes, process flows, and user stories.
• Experience supporting testing phases and reviewing technical documentation.
• Prior involvement in life insurance or financial services projects, with working knowledge of regulatory and compliance considerations.
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication and analytical skills.

Desirable Skills

• Proficiency with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Exposure to user experience (UX) practices including research, prototyping, and usability testing.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
